Tender launched for Northern Ireland pension scheme audit services

The Northern Ireland Local Government Officers’ Superannuation Committee (NILGOSC) is tendering for a contract to provide internal audit services.

The contract will cover the period from 2020 to 2023 with an option to extend for a further 24 months.

NILGOSC is the corporate body responsible for the administration of the local government pension scheme in Northern Ireland.

The local government financial crisis has not been caused by a lack of funding: that’s just a symptom of the inherent conflict of having independent local authorities within a highly centralised state, argues Conrad Hall.
