Standard investment template could be launched in April

A new disclosure template for asset management services provided to institutional investors could be ready in time for the start of the new financial year. According to Investment Week’s website, the optimistic timetable was outlined by Chris Sier, chairman of the Financial Conduct Authority’s institutional disclosure working group at a conference this week. Jeff Houston, the Local Government Association’s head of pensions, was also quoted as saying the Local Government Pension Scheme would implement the template as soon as it is available.

The adoption of artificial intelligence in local government could be just as much about maximising available resources – essentially doing more with less – as it is about making immediate financial savings or efficiencies.
