LAPFF takes action over Ryanair staff relations

The Local Authority Pension Fund Forum has advised members to vote against Ryanair’s financial report and oppose the re-election of chairman David Bonderman.

According to report, the LAPFF has concerns over the airline’s relationship with its employees and the impact on the business.

Cabin crew are planning their second one-day strike in two months next week.

A statement by LAPFF, chairman Ian Greenwood said: “The company faces more strikes and allegations of poor working conditions continue to emerge.

“Questions about the company’s business model and governance now pose a threat to shareholder value.”

The original version of this story incorrectly attributed Ian Greenwood’s quote to Ryanair chairman David Bonderman.

The adoption of artificial intelligence in local government could be just as much about maximising available resources – essentially doing more with less – as it is about making immediate financial savings or efficiencies.
