Government to consult on greater Right to Buy receipt flexibilities

Housing minister Dominic Raab has announced that the government will consult on greater flexibilities for councils to use receipts from Right to Buy sales.
In a statement to MPs, he said: “To help councils build more homes, we believe there is a case for greater flexibility on the use of receipts from Right to Buy sales.”
Raab also confirmed that the government will roll out a pilot of the Right to Buy for housing association tenants in the Midlands this year.

The adoption of artificial intelligence in local government could be just as much about maximising available resources – essentially doing more with less – as it is about making immediate financial savings or efficiencies.
