There is less than one month to go until finance officers, investment experts, politicians and suppliers gather in London for the Local Authority Treasurers Investment Forum (LATIF) and Finance Directors’ Summit 2023.
The event takes place on 19 September at the stylish and contemporary 155 Bishopsgate, located in the City of London and close to Liverpool Street.
The LATIF and Finance Directors’ Summit 2023 features a stellar line-up of speakers and an array of networking opportunities, and registration is still open for the must-attend event.
Room151’s annual treasury investment and current affairs survey is also now open for LATIF and Finance Directors’ Summit delegates to complete. Results will be published first at the event.
Local government minister Lee Rowley is a confirmed speaker this year, alongside Dame Meg Hillier, chair of the Public Accounts Committee. Finance chiefs including Barnet’s Anisa Darr, Slough’s Adele Taylor, Newham’s Conrad Hall, Warrington’s Danny Mather and Manchester’s Tim Seagrave will be joined by the Financial Reporting Council’s director of local audit Neil Harris, among others.
LATIF examines economic and markets risks and opportunities for treasury managers across their councils’ investments and loan books, while the FDs’ Summit explores strategic finance and funding challenges with a mix of case-studies, panel sessions and keynote presentations from leading industry figures.
This year’s LATIF and Finance Directors’ Summit will be the biggest edition of the summit yet with more than 250 delegates.
The exhibition will enable delegates to meet 25+ key financial services providers to the sector, while there will be an array of networking opportunities during coffee breaks, lunch and evening drinks.
Combining two events in one day, LATIF is now in its fifteenth year, while the FDs’ Summit is in its eighth year. Local government finance officers can attend for free, and details on how to register can be found here.
