LATIF North, Room151’s dedicated conference for treasury and 151 officers across the north of England is going virtual, with an online event on March 25.
The gathering had been due to take place in Manchester but in a move aimed at helping our delegates safeguard their health and prevent further transmission of the coronavirus, Room151 will deliver expert debate and insight through the internet.
Wherever you are in the country, finance officers can join us online on March 25th from 09:30 for expert opinion and analysis of a quite unique set of risks and a rapidly changing.
Council treasurers and s151s with a .gov.uk email address can REGISTER here for the conference technical and login details.
We have also reconfigured part our agenda to focus on the current crisis.
Visitors to our online panel sessions will hear speakers explore:
- The health and economic impact of COVID-19;
- Implications of interest rate cuts;
- Ramifications for local government from a budget designed to stimulate the economy;
- The borrowing landscape against the backdrop of bond issuances and PWLB rate volatility
- Managing funds while markets are in turmoil;
- The future of local government funding
With the coronavirus spreading across the country this will be a testing time for local government. Finance departments and treasury will be critical players in the effort to maintain services and battle the infection.
Join us to discuss strategy as the crisis unfolds from your desktop.
With special thanks to CCLA for their continued support of the event.
