Scottish council workers have voted to accept a 9.5% increase over three years.
The improved offer was put to the unions by the Convention of Scottish Local Authorities (COSLA) in December.
It will see employees on less than £80,000 p.a. rewarded with a 3.5% increase this year backdated to April, with 3% rises rises next year and in 2020 for all staff.
Staff on over £80,000 will get a £1,600 pay rise this year.
The deal was finally voted through by the Scottish Joint Council unions.
Unison the largest council union said in December that it would be recommending the deal, with the other unions, the GMB and Unite, accepting it this month.
COSLA’s resources spokesperson councillor Gail Macgregor said: “I am very pleased that the SJC have seen what a great deal this is and have now formally accepted the three-year pay offer which we as employers worked so hard to put on the table.
“Today’s acceptance is a result of the determination on both sides to reach an agreement.
“And I am absolutely delighted with today’s backing from the trade union side.”
