Councils are set to share £28m to help support services for new migrants.
The cash from the Controlling Migration Fund, announced by communities minister Lord Bourne, will support 123 projects across England.
Councils, including Croydon and Kent, had told Room151 they face a shortfall for funding provision, particularly for unaccompanied children arriving in the UK.
Lord Bourne said: “Whether its tackling rogue landlords who exploit vulnerable migrants, helping new arrivals learn English or supporting care leavers to access education, the Controlling Migration Fund is delivering results across the country and providing services for the benefit of all.”
