LGPS Central is undergoing some significant personnel changes with its CIO of six years, Gordon Ross set to depart.

Ross, who has recently chaired Room151’s LGPS North Conference and is one of the longest-serving CIO’s among the LGPS pools is due to depart later this year, the pool told Room151.
Acknowledging his contributions, Joanne Segars, chair of the board of directors at LGPS Central said, “Gordon has been a fantastic colleague who’s helped build our investment approach and developed a team of investment experts that’s helped us grow into the professional investment management company we are today.”
His departure comes as LGPS Central announced the appointment of Trevor Castledine as its first Chief Commercial Officer.
Castledine has previously held roles at Lancashire County Pension Fund (LCPF) and LPPI, and also as an independent adviser to South Yorkshire Pension Fund. He was most recently a managing director with investment consultant bfinance.
LGPS Central has also recently confirmed the appointment of a new CEO, Richard Law-Deeks, who is set to join the pool from his previous role as CEO if the Royal Mail Pension Plan this summer.
LGPS Central is now on the lookout for a new chief investment officer.
