LPPI appoints Jon Little as chair

Jon Little, chair of the board, LPPI.

Jon Little has been appointed as the new chair of the board at Local Pensions Partnership Investments (LPPI), succeeding Sally Bridgeland, who has held the role for the past eight years.

Local Pensions Partnership Investments (LPPI), the investment management subsidiary of the pension pool Local Pensions Partnership, stated that Little will help implement “the next phase of its strategic growth journey” as well as support its responsible investment and net zero commitments.

Little is a founder and managing partner of two asset management firms, Alderwood Capital and Northill Capital. He currently sits on the board of the Oxford Brookes University Endowment’s Investment Committee as non-executive chair.

On his appointment, Little said: “Working alongside the board, senior leadership and the broader team, I truly believe LPPI has tremendous growth potential as a leader in the responsible investment and active ownership of pension fund assets.

“I’m looking forward to collaborating with Chris Rule [LPPI’s chief executive officer] and the team to build on their success and drive a bigger, brighter future for shareholders, investors, partners and employees.”

Little’s tenure as chair of the board at LPPI commenced today (1 August), following a transition period with Bridgeland.

LPPI currently manages £24bn of pension fund assets through a range of pooling vehicles and collaborations, such as GLIL Infrastructure and The London Fund.

Rule commented: “The board welcomes Jon Little as our new chair and we believe his experience operating in complex and innovative organisations will help drive LPPI’s strategic goals in a rapidly evolving pensions and investment industry.”
