We are looking for a motivated team player to join our Finance Department. The post holder will gain experience across these diverse areas, making a key contribution to the successful delivery of service objectives through activities such as daily dealing, cashflow management, the completion of complex working papers, balance sheet monitoring, and control account reconciliations. As the post holder progresses through the career grades they will support the development of strategy and policy in these areas. At the top of the career grade, the post holder will be responsible for leading on these areas, setting strategy, policy and guidance, and overseeing the work of others.

This role is one of three Finance Business Partner (FBP) roles within the Finance Business Partnering Team. The FBPs work collaboratively across the two authorities and each has a primary designated area of responsibility. This post primarily supports Major Projects across Watford Borough Council.

This is a new role within the Finance team.
The post holder will gain experience across the shared service finance function, making a key contribution to the successful delivery of finance service objectives whilst studying for the internationally respected Chartered Institute of Public Finance & Accountancy Qualification.
