South Yorkshire Pensions Authority, responsible for the £11bn+ South Yorkshire Pension Fund, is seeking to appoint an Independent Adviser to the Local Pension Board.
Remuneration: £10,000 per annum plus travel and accommodation expenses
Location: Quarterly meetings held at Oakwell House, Beevor Court, Barnsley, S71 7HG
The Local Pension Board’s role is to provide challenge and scrutiny and assist the Authority in securing compliance with the Local Government Pension Scheme regulations and legislation in respect of governance and administration. The independent adviser will work closely with Local Pension Board members to support them in fulfilling their role. With your considerable experience and understanding of the pensions industry and excellent interpersonal and communication skills, you will quickly establish effective working relationships and draw on your expertise to advise the Board with confidence and impartiality.
