Paying for content
We hear you, but the cost of providing consistent, high-quality, specialist journalism is very high. We feel very privileged to have covered local government finance for the last fourteen years but in order to keep doing it, and keep investing in the title, we have to charge for our content now.
Yes, our partner content will mostly be free-to-air and so will occasional news pieces, but the vast majority of content will now sit behind the paywall.
Yes. You’ll still be able to open the newsletters in your inbox but you will be restricted from viewing any content that sits behind the paywall.
Multi-user licenses and council discount rates

Yes. Please email subscriptions@room151.co.uk with your council details, from your council email address, and we’ll add you to the council domains list if your email domain belongs to a recognised UK local/civil/regional authority. We’ll also extend the discounted rate to any other public bodies , such as police and crime commissioners, fire service, central government, and the NHS.
Not automatically, but if you’d like to discuss your circumstances with us, please drop us a line at subscriptions@room151.co.uk
No, multi-user licenses are only offered to organisations using the same email domain. We reserve the right to delete any user that doesn’t share the same email domain as the master account holder.
Whoever purchases your multi-user plan will become your master account holder. Other uses can be invited and managed by the master account holder. The plan is also renewed by the master account holder.

Subscription and Room151 Events
Yes. Any council subscriber can attend LATIF (Room151’s annual finance conference) free of charge, up to five delegates per authority. If you have already paid to attend LATIF, you can have that cost reimbursed against the cost of your subscription.
No. There is a fee for non-council subscribers to attend LATIF. However, non-council subscribers with a corporate wide license may send one delegate to LATIF, free of charge ( valued at £1950+VAT).
No, free LATIF delegate places are strictly for serving senior finance officers from UK local authorities.
Room151 runs some events (notably LGPS and LATIF North events) where a subscription is not currently required to qualify for a free local government officer place. And there will be other events where a discount will be made available at our discretion. Offers will be emailed to subscribers on a case-by-case basis. Please see www.longviewnetworks.com for our full events programme. You will see events here from other publications also.
