The government has invited more councils to become pilots for the retention of 75% of business rates collected in their area.
The Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government has launched a prospectus for a new round of council pools to test the system, beginning in April 2019.
Communities secretary James Brokenshire said: “Continuing the pilot programme for the second time allows us to look at how the system will work from 2020.”
