London Borough of Greenwich is poised to appoint its director of finance to the role of permanent chief executive.
An appointments committee last week approved the choice of Debbie Warren, who has been acting chief executive since August 2017, with the final decision to be made by the full council next week.
Warren joined the council in 1980, has been director of finance since 2010, and will be paid up to £202,900 in her new role.
