Bexley predicts £38m budget gap

London Borough of Bexley is predicting a rise in its budget gap to £38m by 2023/24.

Council documents published this week blame the rise on “significant uncertainty” in future funding for local government.

It added: “Additionally, the council continues to experience significant population growth and demographic change, placing further pressure on service provision.”
